Press release
Stems Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its Paris location, at 11 rue Pastourelle. We are glad to invite you to the space and visit the solo exhibition of Pharaoh Kakudji “Tear A Part, Torn A Part”.

Pharaoh Kakudji is a French artist of American, Congolese and Spanish origin, working in between Paris, New York, and Los Angeles with different mediums such as painting, drawing, photography, video, textile and sculpture.
His focus is on life and the adventures that encompass it.
Kakudji chooses to express what he sees and feels in the world around him by painting on wheatpasted advertisements from the streets of wherever he is at the moment.

Life inspires me.

Kakudji had a recent solo exhibition titled ‘Shake the Fog’ at Simchowitz Gallery in LA in November 2021 and participated in a group exhibition titled ‘Mirror-Gazing’ at The Pit in LA in 2020. His second solo exhibition titled « Tear A Part Torn A Part » will open at Stems Gallery in Paris on May 14 2022.
