Stems Gallery is pleased to announce Always and for Never, a solo exhibition of new work by Denver-based artist Zach Reini. This will be Reini’s debut European exhibition, and the opening reception will take place on Thursday June 4, 2015.
Always and for Never consists of paintings revolving around the recontextualization and unearthing of cultural symbols, codes, and iconography. The reductive nature of the works create an ebb and flow of emerging materiality and disappearing visual narrative; allowing for information to be recoded for reinterpretation. Reini’s minimalist style serves as the platform for his question: what new truths can be derived from rediscovery? Beneath the layers of time, under the cracked codes, a new programming emerges.
Reini (born 1990), lives and works in Denver, Colorado. After receiving his BFA from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in 2012, he has exhibited regularly nationally and internationally in Miami, New York, Chicago, Milan, among others.
